Job summary
A leading specialist engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join its growing team in the UK. The role involves leading and delivering structural design work, producing technical documentation, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with UK standards. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and experience in structural design across different materials. Qualifications
- Experience in structural design across multiple materials: steel, concrete, timber, masonry.
- Chartered status (MIStructE/MICE) or actively working towards it.
- Strong knowledge of current UK design codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver structural design work from concept through to construction.
- Produce calculations, technical reports and detailed design drawings.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and clients to develop coordinated solutions.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant UK standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers.
