The post holder will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of new and existing key education work streams across the North West Maternal Medicine Network (NW MMN) including the on-going development, management, and implementation of professional development programmes, including study days and webinars across all maternal medicine disease areas. The post holder will work closely with the Lead Midwife and clinical leads for the NW MMN in the professional development agenda for midwifery in Maternal Medicine
The role involves designing and developing educational programs for midwives in collaboration with education teams and universities, ensuring these programs meet professional standards and policy requirements. It includes establishing mechanisms to track compliance with professional development and coordinating training initiatives within the NW Maternal Medicine Network (MMN). The role also supports the creation of a learning environment, encourages skill development among Maternal Medicine professionals, and maintains up-to-date clinical knowledge for effective teaching and mentoring.
Key responsibilities include reviewing national guidelines, advising on midwifery education, and contributing to staff development through clinical teaching. Communication with stakeholders, including universities and clinical experts, is vital to ensure educational programs are current and meet professional needs. The role involves providing reports to the Lead Midwife and deputising as necessary.
Organisational duties include project management, maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered within resources and timelines. The role requires managing one's schedule effectively to meet deadlines and contribute to the NW MMN's strategic goals.
