Our Platform Engineering team is expanding, and we’ve just created two brand new Test Automation Engineer roles. This is a brilliant time to join us as we continue to grow and evolve, building on the great work already happening across tombola, all while enjoying a hybrid setup that balances collaboration and flexibility.

If you’ve got 2+ years’ experience in test automation and a passion for doing things the right way, you’ll fit right in. You’ll collaborate across multiple Platform teams, explore new tech, and play a key role in shaping how we test and deliver our products.

You’ll be part of a team that loves working together in an amazing environment at tombola House. It’s a hybrid role based in Sunderland, with 3 days a week on site. We’re also a hands‑on bunch, so every now and then you’ll jump in to help with a bit of manual testing when the team needs an extra pair of hands.

• Build, maintain and run test automation packs using Playwright
• Keep our automation suite running smoothly and make improvements where needed
• Review, refine and extend our in‑house automation framework
• Support test environments, monitoring and alerting tools
• Champion safer gambling in every project
• Work alongside engineers, testers and product managers to deliver brilliant products our players love

• 2+ years’ experience in automation testing
• Knowledge of tools like Playwright, Selenium or Cypress
• Understanding of SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
• A passion for automation, problem solving and quality

• Backend infrastructure experience
• AWS or Azure exposure
• Agile experience with JIRA or TestRail
• SQL or .NET/C# skills

• Playwright, TypeScript, Docker, Bash, TeamCity, Terraform, AWS (ECS, ECR, SSM, S3, IAM), Vue 3, SQL Server and .NET
