Recruiter – RPS

RPS, Tetra Tech is currently looking for a Recruiter to join the front line of recruiting for essential operational and field‑based roles within our Water Operations Business Unit. Working hybrid (3 days on site) from our Warrington office, you will manage the full recruitment process, from sourcing and screening to offer management, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all candidates and our hiring managers.

About The Team

Our Talent Team works across several specialist business units providing bespoke high‑quality talent acquisition services that include Volume, Specialist and Strategic Resourcing, Internal Talent Mobility, Talent Pipelining and Talent Insight. As a team we deliver a range of bespoke and dedicated services for talent acquisition and retention across the group, working alongside our technical specialists in our Water Consultancy, Laboratories, Occupational Health, and Water Operations Business Units. We define, design and deliver on innovative projects that shape our communities and are supported by a global team of 30,000 consultants and trusted advisors.

Responsibilities
  • Creating and posting compelling job adverts on various platforms to attract skilled operational candidates.
  • Actively sourcing and screening to find qualified individuals for roles.
  • Utilising a variety of sourcing tools to build and maintain a talent pipeline for key operational roles.
  • Serving as a trusted point of contact for operational hiring managers, providing regular updates on recruitment progress.
  • Conducting initial phone screenings to assess candidate skills and suitability.
  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews with operational managers and teams.
  • Managing the offer process and preparing all necessary pre‑employment paperwork.
  • Ensuring all candidates receive clear, timely communication and a positive, professional experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Junior recruitment or talent acquisition role with a strong focus on high‑volume trade or operational recruitment.
  • Solid understanding of the roles and skills needed within the water, utilities, or a similar heavy industrial environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruitment software.
Qualifications
  • A full UK driver’s licence may be required for travel to various operational sites.
