Program Details
The Placement Programme starts in mid‑June with an in‑depth education on the Analyst role fundamentals and the nuances of Citi’s culture. It includes on‑desk training, a speaker series, and networking opportunities. Analysts often return to Citi as Full‑Time Analysts after graduation.
Responsibilities
- Work in an agile software development environment, developing quality and scalable software solutions using leading‑edge technologies.
- Develop code consistent with quality standards, support testing cycles and post‑production deployment, and use appropriate tools to test and debug code.
- Participate in peer coding reviews and contribute to defect‑free programming.
- Collaborate with new‑hire cohorts to learn about company tools, processes and technical skills.
- Gain exposure in areas such as Microservices (Java, Spring Framework, Pivotal Cloud Foundry), iOS (Swift, Xcode, MVC), Android (Java, Android Studio, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX), Generative AI (GitHub Co‑Pilot), Web (Angular, Java, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX).
- Other exposure includes Data Analytics tools (Splunk, Tableau, Adobe Analytics), Cloud adoption (AWS, other clouds), Engineering Excellence practices, design patterns (Microservices, APIs, Spring Boot, REST), CI/CD tools (JIRA, Zephyr, BitBucket, TeamCity, uDeploy, Artifactory, OpenShift), event streaming (Kafka, Solace, Aeron), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Qualifications
- Graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Problem‑solver who thrives on innovation and tackling challenges head‑on.
- Global outlook with willingness to collaborate across cultures and time zones.
- Excellent communication, project‑management, leadership, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to pass technical interviews with basic algorithmic programming exercises.
- Prior experience working in agile teams is desirable.
