We are seeking a driven Director of Purchasing to join the Purchasing team at Claridge’s.

As a Director of Purchasing you will be responsible for:

• Negotiate best possible prices for all products in line with hotel and company purchasing requirements.
• Research and vet all suppliers before initial purchase, ensuring their conditions of sale, and prices and quality of product or service are acceptable and/or compatible with Hotel policy.
• To review and maintain all systems of work that cover every aspect of the hotel’s purchasing, including the receiving, storage, control and distribution of goods, and spot check agreed pricing in food or non-food on a daily weekly monthly or annual basis.
• Collate historical data for the Group Purchasing Manager and produce trends and seasonal changes to proactively target areas and predict market changes.

Successful candidates for our Director of Purchasing opportunity will:

• Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridge’s and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
• Provide intuitive service, with absolute understanding of our guests needs to create exceptional service experiences, that result in lasting memories
• Be motivated, creative and have worked in a similar role, within a five star or fine dining environment.
• You will have a passion for food and quality products, be a team player who is an avid learner who wants to be challenged and developed.
• Be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a pressured environment with the most demanding guests.
