Job description
Who we are

Right now is one of the most exciting moments to join Popsa. Deloitte named us one of the UK’s fastest-growing technology companies, and the Financial Times recognised Popsa among the Top 5 fastest-growing software companies in Europe.

We’re backed by world-class investors, and the world is noticing. Our iOS and Android apps are available in 12 languages, trusted by more than 12 million people who have created over 5 million photobooks shipped to 50+ countries. With more than 350,000 five-star reviews, we’re one of the highest-rated consumer apps anywhere.

But the real story isn’t the numbers, it’s the memories behind them.

We’re living in a time where we capture more photos than ever before. Billions of moments sitting unseen in camera rolls and clouds, mixed with screenshots, receipts, or where we parked the car. We are great at documenting life… but not so great at preserving the meaning in it.

Popsa is changing that.

Since launching in 2016, we’ve built an award-winning platform that removes every barrier to transforming your favourite memories into something beautifully tangible. No design skills. No time-sink. Just the joy of holding real stories in your hands. A celebration of the people and moments that make life worth living.✨ This is only the beginning.

What we’re building next

Today, we’re best known for photo books. Tomorrow, we’re building something bigger: a memory curation platform that helps people process, reflect on, and connect with the meaningful moments in their lives.

We’re developing AI systems that understand photo libraries. Identifying people, places, and journeys, while filtering out the noise and inferring the life milestones that matter most. The result is automated memory curation that can transform thousands of photos into meaningful stories, delivered as digital or physical artefacts.

If you want to work on cutting‑edge AI experiences that help people process, reflect on, and connect with what matters most, there’s no better place to be.

About the role

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of how millions of people create and share their memories through Popsa. This is a hands‑on, craft‑led role where you'll work on meaningful, complex problems across our native iOS, Android and web apps. You'll join our Product Design team, reporting to our Product Design Manager, and partner closely with PMs and our in‑house Engineering team to take ideas from early exploration through to polished, production‑ready design.

We're looking for a designer who loves doing the work. Someone with strong product instincts, deep care for interaction and visual design, and the confidence to make decisions in open‑ended problem spaces. We need a craft specialist who pushes for elegant solutions, and knows that the last 10% of polish is what transforms good products into beloved ones.

This role is ideal for someone from a consumer tech or product‑led company who has deep experience with native mobile design and is passionate about delivering work that sets a high standard for quality.

The kind of person we are looking for
  • You’re an outstanding storyteller. Just as comfortable thinking on your feet as you are expressing yourself in writing. You’re able to present ideas with clarity, conviction, and where needed, persuasion.
  • You embrace ambiguity. Able to quickly evolve ideas based on a shifting set of business and user needs, technical constraints, and feedback from your team.
  • You’re data‑literate. Comfortable analysing user and business data to form insights, and using those insights to inform decision making.
  • You have taste. You have a strong instinct for what great product design looks like, and can help your team get there.
  • You’re a collaborator. able to influence product, engineering, and leadership.
  • You're a curious and skeptical thinker. You dig deeper, challenge assumptions, and don't settle for surface‑level answers.
We're looking for an exceptional IC Designer who:
  • Has a track record of shipping complex, high‑quality software products in a fast‑moving, high‑growth, or scale‑up context.
  • Has a portfolio that demonstrates very strong visual, interaction and information design craft.
  • Has experience designing native mobile apps. Ideally in a B2C environment.
  • Has a high level of Figma expertise, alongside other prototyping tools. You’ve worked extensively with design systems to produce beautiful, functional designs that scale neatly.
  • Understands engineering. Can communicate clearly with engineers and, when needed, can build prototypes in order to communicate ideas.
  • Leverages AI technology to make their daily work more efficient.
Also Desirable
  • Motion design experience
  • Experience with localisation and Internationalisation
This role may not be the right fit if:
  • Your experience is primarily in brand, marketing, or campaign design rather than complex product experiences.
  • You prefer focusing on strategy over hands‑on craft and execution.
  • You work best with structured processes and clear direction. We’re building in an emerging space where the path isn’t always defined.
