Job description

EXO Travel is Asia’s leading Destination Management Company and has embarked on a strategic growth phase with a vision to be a truly purpose-driven global DMC that creates a positive impact for everyone connected to EXO. As a proud B Corp Certified company, we believe that travel and business can be a force for good. We are committed to building a net-positive organisation that brings people together in ways that benefit the cultures, communities, and environments we serve.

The UK & Ireland market plays a key role in EXO’s global success. This role helps us deliver a best-in-class agent experience, elevate the quality of service, and deepen engagement with trusted travel trade partners.

Position Overview
We're looking for a highly motivated and professional Sales Executive or Sales Manager to join our Global Sales Team. This remote, UK-based role is designed to accommodate a range of experience levels.

As a Sales Executive, you'll focus on developing essential sales skills, managing a growing portfolio of luxury travel agents, and executing defined sales strategies and directives.

As a Sales Manager, you'll take on greater strategic influence, managing larger and more complex key accounts, and playing a significant role in shaping the UK & Ireland market strategy and direction.

Both roles are crucial for supporting luxury travel agents, strengthening trade partnerships, and significantly growing the UK & Ireland market in line with EXO’s strategic goals. While the position primarily focuses on luxury travel agents and key partner networks for both levels, a Sales Manager may have more involvement in select tour operators and other segments as needed.

Ultimately, both roles are about building new relationships, improving service and conversions, delivering training, and ensuring our partners and destination teams around the world have the tools and support they need to succeed and deliver memorable and enriching experiences.

Your specific title and responsibilities (Sales Executive or Sales Manager) will be determined based on your experience and alignment with the role's strategic requirements

  • Promote Sustainability: Act as an ambassador for EXO's B Corp values, actively integrating sustainable tourism principles into all partner engagements and training sessions.
  • Drive Business Growth & Strategy: Develop and execute strategies alongside the UK Sales Director to grow high-quality business from luxury travel agents and partner networks. Sales Executives will focus on executing defined strategies, while Sales Managers will take a significant lead in strategy formulation, market analysis, and the execution of key growth initiatives, providing direct input into the overall market direction.
  • Manage & Nurture Partnerships: Maintain and build trusted relationships with luxury travel agents, partner networks, and, depending on experience, select tour operators in the UK & Ireland, with a focus on both nurturing and strategic account development. Sales Managers will typically be responsible for a large or more complex portfolio of accounts.
  • New Account Acquisition & Onboarding: Identify, assess, and activate new B2B partners through structured outreach, onboarding, engagement, and early support.
  • Deliver Service Excellence: Respond promptly to partner enquiries, collaborating with EXO’s global teams to ensure service excellence and issue resolution. Guide new and existing agents through EXO’s tools, systems, and onboarding processes to increase engagement and confidence.
  • Conduct Sales & Training Initiatives: Plan and conduct impactful virtual and in-person sales visits. Design, schedule, and deliver tailored training for agents on destinations, systems, sales tools, and EXO's sustainable travel practices, collaborating with destination teams
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records, including notes and follow-ups. Monitor and report on agent performance, trends, and areas for improvement to support strategic focus and continuous service improvement.
  • Create Engaging Content & Communications: Create and refine visually engaging presentations, itineraries, and proposals. Coordinate and deliver effective trade communications (e.g., newsletters, partner updates).
  • Manage Events & Familiarisation Trips: Lead the planning and logistics for UK & Ireland market-facing events (e.g., trade shows, roadshows, hosted partner events). Support and occasionally host familiarisation trips for agents and partners, based on business needs.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally & Provide Feedback: Collaborate with product and operations teams to align EXO’s services with market needs, flagging issues and sharing improvements. Gather and share market feedback to inform business decisions across departments.
  • Contribute Strategically & Mentor (Sales Manager focus): Sales Managers will contribute significantly to partner engagement strategies, business plans, and content required for quarterly and annual reporting, taking a lead role in developing and proposing these. They will also provide guidance and insights to colleagues on strategy and complex client issues, and mentor and support EXO’s luxury travel consultants.
  • Graduate or Post-Graduate education
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the travel industry is preferred (DMC,travel agency, or tour operator preferred), with 5+ years’ experience for applicants for Sales Manager position
  • Familiarity with at least 2-3 EXO destinations (across Asia & the Middle East) is essential
  • Proficient in travel systems, CRMs, and presentation tools
  • Passion for travel and interest in sustainable tourism
  • Events Industry experience is a plus
  • Full UK driving licence is preferred, and willingness to travel is essential
