A leading infrastructure firm is seeking a Marine Operations Delivery Lead in Bristol to oversee the delivery of critical marine support services on one of the UK's largest construction projects. This hands-on leadership role requires significant experience in marine port operations, compliance with statutory controls, and strong relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant discipline and experience with waterborne Abnormal Indivisible Loads. This role offers the chance to impact the delivery of low-carbon electricity generation.
We are supporting a major UK infrastructure programme in the appointment of a Marine Operations Delivery Lead to play a critical role on one of the UK’s largest and most complex construction projects. The role sits within a highly experienced technical services organisation employing over 8,000 professionals across the UK. The business is known for delivering complex, regulated projects and for investing heavily in its people through career development, professional training, and a strong culture of inclusion and wellbeing. The project itself is the first new nuclear power station built in the UK in over 20 years. Once operational, it will generate 3.26GW of low‑carbon electricity, supplying power to approximately 6 million homes while delivering long‑term economic and employment benefits nationwide.
The Marine Operations Delivery Lead is responsible for the delivery of a critical marine support service to a large, live construction site workforce of approximately 7,500 personnel. You will lead the development, review, and implementation of marine operational policies and procedures, support procurement activities through technical input and specifications, and act as the primary interface between the project and its marine service partners. This is a senior, hands‑on delivery role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise in marine and port operations, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment.
We welcome applications from every walk of life and are committed to diversity within the industries we support, as a certified Inclusive Recruiter and Armed Forces friendly employer. You can ensure you stay safe when job searching online by visiting the JobsAware website.
