A progressive non-profit organization is seeking bilingual activists fluent in Arabic and English for a remote translation role. The position involves translating trauma-informed resources focused on gender-based violence, ensuring accessibility for diverse Arabic-speaking audiences. Candidates should have relevant experience in social rights activism or mental health. This freelance opportunity is flexible with a fee structure from £900-£2,500 depending on project volume, requiring a commitment to translate at least 7 session scripts by early April 2026.

Qualifications

  • Fluent in both Arabic and English, able to convey trauma-informed content.
  • Experience in gender-based violence or mental health contexts.
  • Ability to commit to translating at least 7 sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Translate and localise scripts for trauma-informed resources.
  • Review and proof-read translations by other contractors.
  • Adapt terminology for cultural relevance.
