Rules Resource Executive – Maternity Cover

Job Purpose:
Using expertise and collaborating with relevant stakeholders, to assist the Assistant Director with overseeing the planning and delivery of projects relating to the Rules of Golf in the areas of Rules education and digital platforms in line with departmental schedules.

Key Accountabilities
  • Plan and project manage key Rules Seminars, including liaison with national federations to ensure successful delivery of educational seminars.
  • Support national federations with their education projects by providing digital exams and training materials through the learning management system.
  • Produce and distribute a variety of data‑related reports for the Rules department to track key objectives and targets, ensuring accurate reports are delivered within the required timeframes.
  • Compile and distribute the quarterly Rules Newsletter in collaboration with the Digital Channels Manager to ensure the newsletter contains content produced and approved by the Rules and Communications teams.
  • Support the Rules team in managing the Rules content in The R&A’s Content Management System (CMS) and Learning Management System (LMS), liaising with the Technology team as required.
  • Liaise with and support national federation translators with the planning of the Rules of Golf translation and publication process; including the co‑ordination of translation licensing and support funding processes and the checking and testing of translated digital content received.
  • Support the Assistant Director in identifying, recommending, testing and implementing improvements to the Rules digital platforms including the Rules of Golf App and Rules pages of The R&A website, in collaboration with external stakeholders and the Digital Technology team.
  • Support the Assistant Director with the planning and delivery of the quadrennial Rules of Golf and Rules of Amateur Status update processes to ensure print, digital and translated materials are delivered to the planned schedule.
Expertise
  • HNC/D qualification, or equivalent, or equivalent level of related work experience.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of, and the application of, digital systems e.g. content management systems/project management tools/learning management systems/other web‑based systems.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excel experience with the ability to track and analyse data in Excel.
