Role Description: Our Urban Highways team leads in design development from concept to delivery and we are looking for an ambitious and client facing candidate to lead our local team and support business growth.
The role will be based in Birmingham to support our regional growth ambitions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in:
The team forms part of the wider national Highways and Transport business unit with wide-ranging capability: from site feasibility and master planning, through to planning and then detailed design. The multi-disciplinary nature of the business also means that we are able to deliver project teams from disciplines wider than transportation to fully meet client needs.
We are involved in a number of high profile projects with a variety of clients both in the UK and overseas, including local authorities and contractors such as Birmingham City Council, TfGM, Transport for London, Royal Borough of Greenwich, London Boroughs of Merton, Harrow, Hackney, Barking & Dagenham, Croydon, Homes England, Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council, National Grid, HS2, Network Rail, FM Conway Contractors and J. Murphy & Sons Contractors. Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local, national and international projects. A selection of our current and recent projects include:
Reporting to the Discipline Lead for Urban Highways, you will provide leadership and technical support into assigned projects ensuring successful delivery of technically challenging Public Realm, Transport, Traffic and Infrastructure schemes. You will gain experience working on a wide and varied portfolio of projects which will enhance your skills and test your technical knowledge. You will work in collaboration with other disciplines and will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of schemes, overseas projects, research projects and innovative, technically challenging work.
