Overview

Join to apply for the Fundraising Team Leader role at Cats Protection.

We’re looking for a volunteer who can lead on the fundraising activities across Halifax, Huddersfield & Wakefield. You will coordinate a team of fundraising volunteers with the support of the Fundraising Hub.

You will lead a team of fundraising volunteers to carry out planned activities in the community and online. You’ll enrich their skills, ensure all policies and procedures are followed, and demonstrate exemplary community engagement to reach wider audiences.

  • The ability to prioritise and delegate
  • An appreciation of handling money and charity resources responsibly
  • Fine-tuned communication skills and a passion for engaging with people within your local community
  • Ability to create and build a fundraising strategy, encompassing our full product portfolio and fundraising mix
  • Experience in community fundraising, income generation or event organisation
  • IT skills to use Cats Protection systems – training and support is provided

Note: Keen to coordinate a team of fundraising volunteers in a variety of fundraising activities.

What will you be doing?

As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising team leaders inspire fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. They oversee a small team of volunteers who raise vital funds to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team in all aspects of their roles, ensuring volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

Key responsibilities
  • Support and encourage a team of fundraising volunteers
  • Plan fundraising events and activities with your team
  • Allocate tasks before and during fundraising events
  • Create and build annual fundraising activity planning
  • Liaise with the local Community Fundraising Hub
  • Keep financial records from fundraising events and share with internal stakeholders
  • Promote a professional image of Cats Protection
  • Follow policies and guidelines and ensure licenses and permits are obtained for events (Health & Safety, Data Protection, Safeguarding, etc.)
