Job summary
A healthcare facility in the United Kingdom is seeking a Per Diem Music, Recreation, or Art Therapist. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, conduct therapy sessions, and complete necessary documentation. Candidates should hold relevant degrees and certifications in music, recreation, or art therapy. Previous experience in inpatient psychiatric settings is preferred.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Music Therapist.
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
- A Master’s Degree from an accredited school and Registered Art Therapist.
- Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care and conducts Creative Therapy group sessions.
- Completes Creative Therapy documentation and assessments within time constraints.
- Serves as a member of the treatment team.

- Provides direct patient care on assigned units; including Creative Therapy group sessions and doctor ordered individual assessments sessions. Completes Creative Therapy documentation including assessments, group summaries, and billing within time constraints. Serves as a member of the treatment team. Understands and utilizes principles of growth/development for adolescent patients and the age specific needs of geriatric patients.

Job Requirements:
- Music Therapist: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and Board Certified Music Therapist

- Weekend Required
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Inpatient psychiatric experience and ability to work with large groups preferred
