Product Counsel for AI & HRIS Governance
Job summary
A leading tech company is seeking a Managing Counsel for Product to deliver innovative legal solutions. The role involves working with Product, Engineering, and Security teams on AI and HRIS features, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions. Successful candidates will have extensive product counseling experience, a strong grasp of AI regulations, and excellent analytical skills. This position is fully remote with a competitive salary range.

Qualifications
- Qualified Lawyer with extensive experience on Product counseling.
- Product Counsel Experience in technology, preferably HR-tech.
- Strong command of emerging AI frameworks and their interplay with data protection and employment rules.
- In-house legal experience preferred.
- Startup experience valued.
- Passionate about tech and HR tech products.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Tech-savvy with tools like Slack, Juro, Notion.
Responsibilities
- Own HRIS and AI product counseling end-to-end.
- Draft and negotiate product terms and clauses as required.
- Proactively monitor new AI and tech regulations.
- Manage external counsel on complex, multi-jurisdictional issues.
- Deliver targeted enablement for teams.
- Partner with Privacy & Security on necessary assessments.
