Location: Remote first, in the Peterborough area. You must be willing to travel to the Peterborough/London office or for team meetings

About the Role

If you\'re motivated by delivering exceptional service, asking the right questions, and connecting customers with solutions that genuinely fit their needs, then this role in our Sales team could be your perfect match.

We are looking for a confident, customer-focused Sales Development Representative to join our central contact centre team. You\'ll be the first voice our potential customers hear after they submit an enquiry through our website, partner portals, or online lead generators.

Your mission is to qualify inbound leads, understand customer intent, answer product-related questions, and book the next stage of our sales journey—whether that\u2019s a face-to-face survey, remote consultation, or direct sales call.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Communication – Follow up promptly with inbound leads from web forms, digital ads, and third-party referral sites.

  • Consultative Sales – Engage in consultative conversations to understand customer needs, eligibility, and urgency.

  • Service Knowledge – Answer common questions regarding our services, processes, pricing, and appointment scheduling.

  • Lead Qualification – Assess lead quality using qualifying criteria (e.g. property type, location, ownership status, energy needs).

  • Appointment Scheduling – Book appointments into the correct stage of the pipeline:

    • Home surveys

    • Remote video/phone consultations

    • Sales/Design representative calls

  • CRM Management – Record all interactions in our CRM and keep data clean and accurate.

  • Cross-Team Collaboration – Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to improve handover quality and conversion rates.

What We’re Looking For
  • Sales Experience – Experience in telemarketing, lead qualification, or inside sales.

  • Clear Communication – Ability to communicate clearly and confidently over the phone and in writing.

  • Conversational Skill – Naturally inquisitive, with the ability to probe tactfully and guide a conversation.

  • Product Knowledge – A quick learner who can absorb product knowledge and confidently explain it to others.

  • CRM Accuracy – Strong attention to detail and CRM discipline.

  • Target Orientation – Comfortable working towards daily/weekly targets (e.g. contact rate, booking rate).

  • Skills-Based Interview: Engage in a detailed discussion about your past experiences with our Sales Team Leader(1 hr)
