Location: Alsager School (ST7 2HR) and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Term-time only – 39 working weeks per year, with holiday pay bringing total to 43.689 weeks)
Hourly Rate: £12.50/hour

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, friendly environment where great food and great service go hand in hand? We’re looking for a Roaming Catering Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting school catering services across the Crewe and Nantwich area.

This is a mobile role, so a full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Roaming Catering Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient catering operations across multiple school sites. Based at Alsager School, you’ll provide flexible support where it’s needed most.

Key responsibilities include:

• Covering staff absences and supporting service delivery across various school locations
• Preparing and serving food and drinks, including cold food and sandwiches
• Operating tills and handling payments
• Assisting with stock rotation and food safety tasks
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in all catering areas
• Working collaboratively with a positive, can-do attitude
• Full training will be provided, both on-site and via our online learning platform.

What We’re Looking For

• Aged 18 or over
• Previous catering experience is a plus
• Able to work independently and adapt to different environments
• Comfortable with physical tasks such as standing, lifting, and bending
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to hygiene and safety
• Experience working in secure environments is beneficial (some locations may require this)
• Eligible for correctional facility clearance (if applicable)
• Willing to obtain a Food Safety Certification
