Job summary
A leading environmental services company in the UK is seeking an experienced Health Physics Team Leader to oversee the Health Physics team at their Low Level Waste Repository site. This role involves leading radiological surveys, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing the training of staff in radiation protection. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a nuclear facility and a strong understanding of radiation monitoring and safety protocols, as well as essential certifications such as City & Guilds Level 3 in Radiation Protection.
Qualifications
- Significant leadership experience in health physics within a nuclear facility.
- Thorough knowledge of Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017.
- Ability to manage and train Health Physics staff effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct radiological surveys on site.
- Monitor and report on radiological conditions accurately.
- Coordinate resources for health physics coverage and emergencies.
- Oversee training and competency of health physics staff.
