Job description

Are you an experienced Shift Supervisor who is looking to develop or are you an experienced Manager from the manufacturing sector? My client is looking for a Shift Manager to join their team at their manufacturing facility in North Yorkshire. Reporting in to the Operations Manager this is a permanent site based position offering competitive salary and benefits.

The successful Shift Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading and motivating a team to foster a high-performing environment
  • Ensure safety, quality and performance standards are consistently met
  • Coordinating with other departments to resolve production-related challenges
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production staff to meet production targets.
  • Monitor and report on production performance against key metrics.
  • Ensure consistent product quality, collaborating with the technical team to uphold compliance, standards and specifications.

The ideal candidate will have some previous relevant experience in a similar role ideally from within the food manufacturing sector, however this is not essential. You must have experience of managing a team and coaching and developing a team. Level 2 or 3 Food Safety would also be beneficial.

This role offers a competitive salary up to £40k and would be working off season Monday – Friday: 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pm rotating shifts (8-hour shift) and peak season.

7 days working pattern, both days and nights: 6am – 6pm or 6pm – 6am (4 days on, 2 off, 4 nights on, 2 off) and the business is commutable from Selby, Tadcaster, Malton, York, Pocklington and surrounding areas.
