Welcome to the Tesco Store Manager role. For this position, the shift pattern varies from day to day but is planned in advance.

• Recruit and train a high-performance team, developing operational and leadership skills.
• Co‑coach the team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the store’s products, building the brand and ensuring customers receive the right range, quality and service.
• Lead trade activity, using expertise to grow sales and maximise profit.
• Build and support managers to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan, ensuring efficient staffing and continuous review of solutions.
• Prioritise colleague safety, ensuring the store trades legally and coaching the team to use all security tools for a safer workplace.

• Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach to deliver results.
• Customer‑first attitude, building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Resilience and energy to maintain momentum in challenging environments, capable of making decisions that benefit customers and staff.
• Drive to exceed expectations, consistently performing at a high level and inspiring confidence.
• Awareness of competitor activity and a continual pursuit of initiatives to improve the store for customers.
