Job summary
A local educational institution in Chelmsford seeks a Cover Supervisor to work with secondary-aged students during teacher absences. Skills
Moulsham High School is looking for a Cover Supervisor to work with secondary aged children in an educational setting, supervising classes during the short‑term absence of teachers. The role involves delivering lesson instructions as provided by the teacher, maintaining good order, keeping students on task, and ensuring learning continues uninterrupted.
The successful candidate will be able to remain calm under pressure, adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances, and support a calm, positive classroom atmosphere.
- Supervise classes during short‑term teacher absences.

- Meet all safeguarding requirements, including an enhanced DBS check, medical clearance and satisfactory references.
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 – 15:30, 39 weeks a year – Term Time plus inset days. Permanent contract.
