Job summary
A leading technology provider is seeking a Technical Sales & Account Manager for Data Center HVAC in the UK. This role requires strong HVAC expertise, a proven sales track record, and the ability to build customer relationships. Responsibilities include maximizing account penetration and ensuring customer satisfaction through consultative sales approaches. The position is full-time and involves travel up to 50%.
Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC, Building Management Systems/Controls, Fire Detection/Suppression, or Security.
- Proven sales track record and adaptability in a consultative approach.
- Ability to travel 25%–50% of the time.
- Five years of experience in the data centre industry and an existing network preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop long-term customer relationships with consulting engineers and contractors.
- Maximize account penetration leveraging Johnson Controls’ building solutions.
- Articulate offerings, strategize sales approaches, and ensure customer retention.
- Maintain frequent contact with customers and lead technical specifications.

Skills
Johnson Controls is expanding our Data Centre Vertical, and we have various Sales Account Manager positions available across different geographies and lines of business. We are seeking talent in the UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, and Dubai, with expertise in HVAC, Building Management Systems/Controls, Fire Detection/Suppression and Security.
- Develop long-term customer relationships with consulting engineers, design & build contractors, hyperscalers and colocation operators to create a pipeline for the EMEA region
- Maximize account penetration by leveraging Johnson Controls’ broad portfolio of building solutions
- Articulate JCI offerings, strategize sales approaches, and ensure customer retention and growth of assigned accounts
- Build partnering relationships, maintain frequent contact with customers, optimize and lead technical specifications throughout the JCI portfolio, lead collaborative efforts with regional offices, conduct technical presentations, and provide feedback to management
- Travel up to 25%–50% as required
- Required: experience in HVAC (thermal management), Building Management Systems/Controls, Fire Detection/Suppression, or Security
- A proven sales track record and adaptability in a consultative approach
- Ability to travel 25%–50% of the time
- Preferred: five years of experience in the data centre industry and an existing network in the field
