Job Description
As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for defining the end-to-end technical solutions to be implemented into our client environment, working closely with our client, our internal engineering team, third parties, and the account team. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to present complex solutions in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a pre-sales and implementation environment. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, with a strong focus on consumer finance products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Presales:
- Conduct technical product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops for prospective clients.
- Prepare technical proposals, RFP responses, architecture diagrams, and presentations.
- Provide deep technical expertise and assist in crafting personalized technical solutions.
- Lead technical discovery sessions and solution presentations to prospective clients.
- Solution Design, Implementation & Client Engagement:
- Work collaboratively with our client team to present our solution and tailor integration patterns in line with client's needs.
- Work with the internal team and third parties to define the overall solution and impact across the full software stack.
- Impact-assess changes and assist the prioritization process.
- Provide a set of architecture collateral and solution definition to the technical leads.
- Collaborate with delivery and development teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and faultless delivery.
- Collaboration & Thought Leadership:
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to stay updated on product features, functionalities, and the overall product roadmap.
- Feedback client requirements and market trends to the Product team to help improve offerings.
- Participate in internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions to maintain cutting-edge expertise in fintech and SaaS domains.
- Stay updated on fintech industry trends and emerging technologies.
The Successful Applicant
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical presales, solutions architect, or similar client-facing role, preferably in the SaaS or fintech space.
- Proven experience in architecting and designing cloud solutions, ideally in MS Azure.
- Hands-on experience with digital financial technology solutions (payment systems, lending platforms, digital banking, etc.).
- Experience with D2C software solutions on web and mobile.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in APIs, microservices architecture, and integration frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and scalable SaaS architectures.
- Familiarity with security standards, regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR), and data privacy considerations in fintech.
- Strong software integration experience in a complex or regulated environment is an advantage.
- Soft Skills:
- Client-facing proven track record of managing Client's technical relationship.
- Commercial awareness: understand the commercial impact of technical decisions.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle pressure in client engagements. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can quickly adapt to changing client or market needs.
- Team Collaboration: Works effectively across teams, from sales and marketing to engineering and product.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Creative, with the power to think 'out of the box.'
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. A master's degree is a plus.
What's on Offer
This role is offering a generous package for the ideal candidate:
Up to £125,000 base salary.
This role is largely remote; a few days a month on-site are required.
