A local fire service is seeking a Vehicle Technician based in Aylesbury, dedicated to the servicing, repair, and maintenance of emergency vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess an NVQ Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification, a full driving license with category C entitlement, and expertise in servicing and repairing vehicles. Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have an exciting vacancy for a Vehicle Technician. This role is based in the workshop at Headquarters – in Stocklake, Aylesbury – where we are committed to providing an excellent, modern, and agile Fire & Rescue Service for our community.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that are responsible for the servicing, repair, and maintenance of the fleet of emergency vehicles, plant, equipment, and support vehicles that support the Fire Service.

You will be required to take part in the emergency on-call rota one week out of seven, where you will initially be mentored by another team member, usually for the duration of the six-month probation period.

Salary: £44,483 to £45,164 (including guaranteed overtime and tool allowance), plus potential to earn additional overtime for out-of-hours on-call availability
