Third‑Party Contract Risk Oversight Lead – HR

The Third‑Party Contracts Lead plays a key role in overseeing supplier relationships within the HR function. This role is responsible for collaborating with relationship managers to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Acting as a subject‑matter expert, the role supports the embedding of best practices in third‑party risk management across HR.

Key Responsibilities
Risk & Performance Management
  • Liaises with third‑party relationship managers and owners, ensuring delivery against pre‑ and post‑contractual commitments and service level agreements.
  • Supports third‑party arrangement managers and owners with performance and risk reporting, ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
  • Supports regular supplier reviews where required.
  • Manages the fleet contract to ensure performance against SLAs.
  • Ensures compliance with M&G’s third‑party risk management policies and procedures.
  • Builds strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders and SMEs within the risk and compliance (second line) function.
Contract & Documentation Management
  • Monitors supplier spend against budget, ensuring financial discipline and value delivery.
  • Oversees the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices where required.
  • Identifies opportunities for reducing the supplier base across the global function to drive cost optimisation and contract efficiencies.
  • Maintains a centralised inventory of HR contracts and supporting documentation.
  • Ensures all records are current, accessible, and audit‑ready.
Reporting & Insights
  • Prepares and delivers insight reports and MI to governance committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Highlights key risks, performance trends, and compliance issues.
Subject Matter Expertise
  • Acts as HR’s (1b line) expert on third‑party risk management frameworks and best practices.
  • Promotes awareness and understanding of third‑party policies across the function.
  • Provides training and guidance to internal teams.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in supplier risk management.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to balance risk, compliance, and value delivery.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Self‑starter with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
