Orion Safety Belts Ltd is a leading provider of automotive safety belt solutions. Based in Stevenage, United Kingdom, Orion is known for delivering outstanding, tailored safety solutions to our customers. As part of our ambitious growth plans, we’re seeking two driven and results-oriented Sales Associates to expand our market presence (UK and International).

The Opportunity – Be a Founder of Our New Sales Function

We are not looking for passengers. We are looking for two hungry, ambitious, and resilient hunters to form the spearhead of our new business acquisition team.

This role is designed for someone at the start of their sales career who is eager to learn, thrives on challenge, and wants to make a direct, visible impact on a company's trajectory.

This is a hands-on, workshop-proximate commercial role – ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the product and the production team.

You will be tasked with finding, engaging, and winning new clients and drive new revenue streams. You will be the voice of Orion in the market.

Top performers will be fast-tracked into Field Sales Executive or Sales Manager positions within 12-18 months.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Hunting: Proactively seek out and secure new client accounts through cold calling, email outreach, social selling (LinkedIn), and field marketing/networking activities. Examples include garages, mobility converters, and fleet operators.
  • Lead Management: Follow up on marketing-generated leads with speed and tenacity. Collaborate with the marketing team to provide real-time feedback from the frontline, helping to shape future lead generation campaigns.
  • Client Visits: Conduct face-to-face meetings and presentations with potential clients in the region (hence the need for a driver's licence).
  • Pipeline Creation: Build and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities from scratch.
  • Sales Process: Plug into and execute our defined sales process, using the company CRM (training provided) to log all activity accurately.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our internal Sales Executive, who manages existing clients, to ensure a seamless handover of new accounts. Learn from the team's historical client knowledge.
  • Market Intelligence: Become an expert on our products, competitors, and the local/regional market. Bring fresh ideas and creative approaches to breaking into new accounts.
