Tesco Shift Leader - Days - Dundee Murray Gate Express. Join Tesco as a Shift Leader and help run a store, support colleagues and ensure great service for customers.

Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 per hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with the option to work a minimum of 12 hours if preferred.

Availability: We will schedule contracted hours within the advertised windows and provide 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. We support flexibility where possible if your availability matches closely with advertised times.

• Work in a fast-paced retail environment and lead a team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
• Take ownership of running duty shifts, oversee store operations, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
• Support customers by listening to their needs and ensuring they receive what they came for.
• Coach colleagues, provide feedback, and identify ways to improve service.
• Lead from the front and set a strong example in all duties.
• Understand store performance and assist managers in implementing actions to improve operations.

• Be 18 years or over to apply.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and ability to build positive, inclusive relationships with colleagues.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills; able to lead in the absence of a manager.
• Flexible with scheduling and able to adapt to store needs and changes in expectations.
