A leading insurance firm in Manchester is seeking a professional to join their Pricing & Underwriting team. This role focuses on using data and technology to optimize pricing strategies. Candidates should have a strong grasp of general insurance pricing, proficiency in tools like Python and SQL, and an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders. The position offers a hybrid work model and includes various employee benefits.
This role sits at the heart of Darwin’s Pricing & Underwriting team, where you’ll help shape the future of insurance pricing with cutting-edge tools and a modern approach. We’ve built the kind of pricing infrastructure every pricing professional aspires to work with: a fast, flexible rating algorithm; Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) that enable fast, transparent, and controlled model development; and an operating model that gives complete autonomy to pricing professionals to dream up an idea and get it live.
If you're passionate about using data, tech, and creativity to push the boundaries of insurance pricing, we’d love to hear from you.
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.
Direct Line Group is an equal opportunity employer, and we think diversity of background and thinking is a big strength in our people. We're delighted to feature as one of the UK's Top 50 Inclusive Employers and are committed to making our business an inclusive place to work, where everyone can be themselves and succeed in their careers.
