A healthcare service provider in Tees Valley seeks a Car Park Attendant to ensure the safe operation of car parks. Key responsibilities include enforcing parking policies, handling customer queries, and monitoring car park services. The successful candidate will work shifts, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Experience in a car parking environment is advantageous, with training and specific qualifications required. This role supports accessibility for patients and visitors while maintaining safety standards.
The role of a Car Park Attendant is to ensure the safeoperation of the Trust car parks alongside supporting patients, visitors andstaff to access our services. The role is extremely varied and you would bejoining a small team who all work closely together to provide excellentcustomer service.
This is a role which includes 24/7 cover 365 day per year.
The successful candidate will be:
Responsible for the enforcement of the Trust Car ParkingPolicy
Responsible for ensuring the correct application of theQuality Management System where it interfaces with their daily activities
Responsible for ensuring the the ANPR database is kept upto date therefore be comfortable using IT systems
Dealing with customer queries both face to face and viatelephone therefore great customer service skills are essential
Issue Parking Charge Notices to vehicles that are parkedin breach of the Trust Policy
Responsible for the monitoring of the car parking serviceequipment, its performance and reporting of faults or damages to the CarParking Management Team
Directs drivers of vehicles to appropriate parking areasif and when required and provides information to visitors, students, staff andpatients
Monitors and/or patrol site to ensure traffic remainsflowing
Observe, uphold and enforce health & safetyregulations at all times including the wearing of hi-visibility and safetyclothing and the reporting of hazards and dangers on site
Take intercom calls and assist customers with their issuesand queries.
To man the Car Parking Reception, take card and cashpayment on an ad hoc basis and also validate parking passes for visitors
Issue keys in accordance with the agreed procedure
Give appropriate advice and instruction to staff andpublic in respect of the effective operation of the Trust car parks
Give appropriate instruction to any new members of the CarParking Team
Work agreed rotas and co-operate to maintain a 24-hourcover
Attend training courses as required

Bank work is offered on an 'as and when' basis with no guaranteed hours and will be paid on a pro-rata hourly rate for hours worked only

Ensure that communication channels aremaintained between appropriate staff / visitor / patient groups with regard to car parking.
