A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated staff nurse focused on delivering palliative care. The role involves high-quality support, training delivery, and collaboration with colleagues. Candidates must be NMC or HCPC registered, with additional training in palliative care being essential. This is a permanent part-time position with a salary between £31,049 and £37,796 per year, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact in patient care during critical times.
Palliative Care can be offered to patients when their illness can no longer be cured. This is not only for people with cancer but also other illnesses like heart failure and respiratory diseases.
Palliative Care shifts the focus from “getting better” to “feeling well” whilst managing an incurable illness; optimising quality of life and then supporting patients and their families as they approach the end of their lives and are dying, focusing on dignity and comfort.
Priority will be given to colleagues identified as at risk through the Trust's redeployment process.
