We have a fantastic opportunity available for an Electrical Craftsperson to join our team based in Bodmin. You will join us on a permanent full-time contract, and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £34,368 - £40,729 per annum. You will also receive a guaranteed standby allowance (working a 1 in 8 rotation), plus additional payments for call out and overtime opportunities. You will be entitled to a company van and a range of excellent company benefits. You will be required to work a 37 hour week and benefit from 1 in 4 Fridays off.

• Delivery of quality support using expertise and experience in your discipline. Using electrical, control and process systems which will help to maintain or minimise the risk and impact to our customers.
• Carrying out repairs and maintenance across Operational sites. Diagnose faults on all aspects of asset control, electrical systems and automation.
• Working with other disciplines in a mobile field team.
• Liaise with all staff affected by any work undertaken.
• Compile or update site engineering documentation which enables Operational functions to carry out, support and maintain the works process and performance.
• Proactively support internal customers in line with the South West Water vision of Trusted, Responsible, Collaborative and Progressive.
• Plan, prioritise and carry out works to satisfy the maintenance delivery model and operations team.
• Conform and adhere to current ISO, Health & Safety systems, procedures and policies.
• undertake training to ensure continued improvement of technical skills and Health and Safety awareness.
• Comply with all business rules relating to delivery of and feedback regarding maintenance activity.

• Essentials
• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above
• Apprenticeship supported by relevant formal qualifications such as City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC/HND
• Compliant with current IEE Regulations 18th Edition
• Experience with fault finding and 3 Phase electricals
• A full UK driving licence is required

• Desirables
• City & Guilds Inspect and Test 2391-10
• Industrial/Commercial experience
• Experience with VSDs, soft starts and motor control systems
• Understanding of Wiring Diagrams
• Knowledge of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
• Good working knowledge of LV systems (from 415 VAC down to 24 VAC and DC control and indication)
