Are you passionate about developing others and driving excellence in clinical education? We are seeking an Education Lead to join Division B at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a brand-new role, offering a unique opportunity to design, lead, and grow educational pathways for nurses and allied health professionals across the Division.

As an experienced educator and NMC or HCPC registered professional, you will bring vision, energy, and leadership to ensure our teams have the skills and confidence to deliver outstanding patient care. You’ll work collaboratively with clinical leaders and education partners to create innovative learning opportunities, foster professional development, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job
  • Managerially report to the Divisional Head of Nursing, and professionally report to the Head of Education for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (NMAHPs)
  • Have lead responsibility for overseeing Divisional education provision for NMAHPs and Clinical Support Workers (CSWs)
  • Have lead responsibility for ensuring that the Divisional Education Team provides a high level of support to students and apprentices thus facilitating a positive placement experience
  • Strategically lead the Divisional Education Team to deliver high-quality education which is evaluated against Trust-wide education quality assurance mechanisms for NMAHPs and CSWs and key performance indicators
  • Provide strategic oversight for education and development of NMAHP and CSW workforce which is aligned with the NHS 10 Year Plan in collaboration with the divisional nursing leadership team, wider CUH education community and ICS partners
  • Collaborate with Trust-wide Education Leads and specialty teams across the organisation to lead, plan and organise complex education activities and programmes of study
  • Be responsible for reviewing, processing and presenting Divisional applications for funded learning and ongoing professional development at relevant committees

  • Experience of supporting education quality improvement activities in response to learner feedback
  • Experience of developing education modules including delivery and evaluation of learner experience
  • Senior clinical experience in an acute hospital setting
