This role sits within the Business Intelligence as a Service (BIaaS) lab, an enablement function focused on delivering our vision for the future of BI.The keyword being "Enablement", therefore this role is NOT about developing BI Dashboards, Visualisations / Reports / Analytics, but about BI Platform Engineering which includes the Design, Build, Implementation, Scale-Out and Support of our strategic BI Applications and their related Products, Features, End-to-End Patterns/Blueprints, Best Practices, Ways of Working and Operating Models for success.You must therefore be able to demonstrate experience of working with teams like Networking, Security, Architecture, Cloud Services and more; including a know-how of Software Engineering Principles and related common challenges, in order to deliver on our vision for the future of our BI Products and Services.You’ll work in a Feature Team within the BIaaS lab, together with a Product Owner and other multi-skilled Engineers, with a clear Vision, Key Results and Objectives ranging across the Build, Maturity and Support of:* Connectivity between our BI Applications and various on-premise and cloud data sources.* Self-Service capabilities to all BI personas.* Conversational Analytics through Natural Language Query interfaces.* Data Agents for BI* BI Marketplace* BI Semantic / Knowledge Layer* Simplifying our BI Estate.**About the Team**We're a dynamic and diverse lab, with a reputation of delivery at pace, innovating and challenging the status quo. Our BI Products aim to unlock the potential of our rich data through innovative Self-Serve solutions - a "BI Marketplace" (think Amazon for BI). We build, scale, maintain, and monitor capabilities within our strategic BI Platforms while evaluating and developing innovative future offerings (think ChatGPT for BI). We're embarking on building a Semantic / Knowledge Layer to enable a single source of truth and to power Conversational BI.
