A leading service provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Maintenance Operative to manage repairs and ensure Health & Safety standards are met. The role involves working with asylum accommodation services and managing workflow independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a valid UK driving licence and undergo security clearance checks. This position offers competitive benefits including a contributory pension scheme and annual leave.

Full time – 37.5 hours per week.
Salary – up to £30,000 depending on experience & skills, plus Serco benefits.
Here at Serco, we work with Asylum Accommodation and Support Services to assist individuals through the asylum system, which includes providing them with temporary accommodation.
As the Maintenance Operative your role is key in ensuring all requested repairs – both reactive and proactive, including those pre‑planned by the manager – are carried out to the required standard and within our SLA deadlines.
You will be a highly motivated individual who can manage your own workflow as well as work within a team when necessary.
As a Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and that of all users of the property during, and after works have been undertaken and completed.
Vehicles will be inspected regularly and kept in a professional, clean condition. Work will be conducted using provided vehicle, fuel card and tools.
