Senior Quantity Surveyor – Hybrid Civil Lead (NEC)
Job summary
A leading infrastructure company is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on the Isle of Skye. This role involves leading the commercial management of complex civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with NEC contracts, and mentoring junior staff. Candidates should possess a BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying and have strong NEC contract administration experience. This position offers a hybrid working model that combines home, office, and site-based work, appealing to those looking for flexible arrangements.
Qualifications
- Chartered or working towards RICS, ICES, or CIOB membership.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams.
- Experience in constructability analysis and programme management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of complex civil engineering works.
- Prepare activity and resource schedules; analyse tender documents.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and third parties.
- Manage commercial documentation under NEC contracts.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain commercial registers.
- Develop procurement strategies and internal financial reports.
- Mentor junior commercial staff and support recruitment efforts.
