Job Purpose

We’re looking for adual-skilled field service engineer—someone who bringssolid Mechanical expertiseand a second core skill such asElectrical.

This is a hands‑on role in ourCheshire production team, where you’ll be working in a fast‑paced, modern environment maintaining and improving critical water assets. You’ll need to be confident across both disciplines, ready to tackle a wide range of maintenance tasks and contribute to continuous improvement across the site.

You’ll be responsible for delivering both proactive planned maintenance and responsive support across your area of expertise, helping us meet key compliance and environmental standards. If you’re bringing one core skill to us (Mechanical) you’ll start on a salary of £38,462, but if you’ve got two disciplines, you’ll earn £44,320.

Key Accountabilities
  • To implement an efficient Mechanical maintenance and installation service.
  • To analyse faults, rectify and ensure correct operation of Mechanical systems-based equipment.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
  • To ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and internal company policies.
  • To maintain required financial control of a pre-defined budget.
  • To provide reliable, accurate and complete asset performance and repair information for entry into corporate systems.
  • To analyse and recommend solutions to recurring maintenance problems.
Skills & Experience

To be considered for a role as a Mechanical Field Service Engineer:

  • You must be a time served apprentice or equivalent, supported with academic qualifications to a minimum of NVQ level 3.
  • A full UK driving license is required for the role
  • Industry experience.
  • The ability to work in a team but also alone, and sometimes in confined spaces.
  • Able and willing to diversify into specialised areas of maintenance, as required, such as chlorine gas systems.
  • Diagnostic, organisational, planning, communication and computer skills
  • A generous annual leave package of 26 days, which increases to 30 days after four years of service (increases one day per year), in addition to 8 bank holidays
