The Innovation & AI Architect will be a key member of the Solution Architecture team supporting the Innovation & AI Practice. They will lead the research, architecture, and design activities within the practice, driving the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
This role will focus on leveraging cutting‑edge technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and no-code/low-code platforms (such as PowerApps) to deliver transformative outcomes for Enstar.
Innovation & AI Architect will be working with team members (Business Analysts, Developers and other Architects) and other stakeholders supporting a global practice.
The role is also expected to act in an advisory to the broader architecture team, providing insights, solutions reviews and best practice advice.

What you will be doing

Key Accountabilities / Deliverables
Specific responsibilities:

  • Conduct and lead research on emerging technologies and trends in the AI and innovation space, including the execution of PoC’s.
  • Support identification and prioritization of high‑impact AI initiatives across Enstar’s global operations.
  • Conduct and lead technical demonstrations of AI & Innovation tools, prototypes and concepts for Business and IT teams.
  • Develop comprehensive architectural frameworks and designs that incorporate Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, and no-code/low-code solutions; create reusable patterns and components.
  • Assess, prototype, and integrate emerging frameworks (such as Agentic AI) to enhance automation and innovation.
  • Contribute towards AI governance frameworks, ensuring ethical, compliant, and responsible AI adoption.
  • Lead the creation of Innovation & AI solutions and prototypes that address key business challenges and opportunities; contribute to review and design of solutions in other technical areas as required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements, present findings, and validate designs.
  • Establish and promote best practices in AI and innovation architectures and methodologies.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to project teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and strategic objectives.
  • Mentor junior team members and cross‑train the wider team of architects & technical lead(s) on AI & Innovation technologies.
  • Ensure that Innovation and AI designs are aligned with broader Enstar standards such as data protection, cyber security, solution architecture and general IT strategy
What you will bring
  • Architecture position held in the past
  • Experience of designing/building with no-code/low-code technologies
  • Experience of designing/building AI solutions (including Gen AI and / or Agentic AI)
  • Experience of working as a member of Architecture teams performing a broad range of capabilities
  • Work experience in the Insurance industry of at least 5 years
  • Proven delivery capability of large‑scale projects in an Agile environment
  • AI Technology: In‑depth knowledge of Generative AI technologies (including tools like Copilot), Agentic AI concepts and frameworks
  • AI Frameworks: Familiarity with leading AI frameworks and libraries (such as LangChain); Knowledge of RAG and knowledge graph systems, MCP, Vector Databases
  • Large Language Models (LLMs): Expertise in the application and implementation of LLMs.
  • No‑Code/Low‑Code Platforms: Proficiency in platforms such as PowerApps.
  • Strong understanding of AI safety, ethical alignment, and enterprise collaboration for scalable deployment.
  • Architectural Design: Strong understanding of architectural principles and design patterns.
  • Knowledge and experience of implementing and integrating typical insurance applications in large scale corporations
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies and its adoption
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written.
  • The ability to translate visionary ideas into practical solutions
  • Developed influencing and persuasive skills with the ability to offer a persuasive argument both with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key milestones whilst retaining a positive attitude and relationship.
  • Demonstrates a strong propensity for creative problem‑solving and a keen interest in emerging technologies.
