Join to apply for the Senior Residential Support Worker role at Blue Ocean Computers.

We are seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for our brand new home in Tyldesley where we support 4 adults with autism and learning disabilities. As a Senior Residential Support Worker you will empower and promote independence in the people we support, encouraging them to be active members of the community. You will lead by example, delivering and role-modeling the highest standards and providing support to the team on shift. You will be responsible for record‑keeping of any achievements, outcomes and any concerns. You will develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a senior member of the team, advocating for and supporting the continuous development of the home, role-modeling best practice in care
  • Take the lead and manage shifts to make the appropriate decisions where needed
  • Lead and participate in team meetings, supervisions and training, supporting employee development and contributing to a strong and consistent team ethos
  • Provide person-centred care and support tailored to individual needs
  • Build trusting relationships and support emotional and behavioural needs using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication and household tasks
The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following
  • Level 2 Adult Care Worker Qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a care role
  • Be committed to continuous improvement of the home and the team
  • A passion for person-centred care
  • Resilience, positivity and a proactive mindset
  • Previous mentoring, team lead or supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Full UK Driving Licence is preferred
