A leading global banking institution in London is seeking a Director in Capital Markets to manage corporate loan syndication. The ideal candidate will lead complex analyses, develop client relationships, and have exceptional stakeholder management skills. This role offers a flexible work environment, generous benefits including a 12% pension, extensive wellbeing programs, and a commitment to sustainability. Join a collaborative team that fosters career development and inclusivity.
Our company purpose is to contribute to a responsible and sustainable economy by financing and advising clients according to the highest ethical standards.
Our employer promise is built around three pillars: being a great place to work; committed to sustainability and having a positive impact; and dedication to the development of our people.
Business area
In the UK, Global Banking focuses on four main business areas: Corporate Clients Group, Capital Markets, Low Carbon Transition Group and Transaction Banking. This role sits within Capital Markets, which provides a fully integrated offer across debt and equity and works closely with issuer and investor clients.
The Syndicate team within Capital Markets is the hub for execution of all new primary issuance within the function, across products including Sovereigns Supranationals and Agencies (SSA), Financials, Corporates, Growth Markets and Euro Medium Term Notes (EMTNs). It interfaces between Debt Capital Markets and private-side teams, and Sales, Trading and other public-facing functions. Through interaction with issuer clients and trading and sales (investors), the Syndicate team crystallises origination ideas and, once a mandate is awarded, manages the execution process and residual risk associated with the transaction.
As a Director, the role holder will be accountable for completing highly complex analyses, reviewing work from more junior colleagues, and working with both LCM and LFCM to enable corporate borrowers to access liquidity across the capital structure primarily in EUR, USD and GBP. The role will lead workstreams and drive strategy in the team to support the business in achieving its objectives.
Note — We expect all colleagues to embody the Group values (alignment with the Bank’s strategy, commitment, work ethic, integrity and Code of Conduct).
