Job Purpose

Reporting to an Operations Manager, the role's primary responsibility is to lead and deliver Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services for offshore renewable energy assets, including meteorological masts, wind turbine foundations, and supporting on OFTO assets such as onshore and offshore substations and export cables. While core assets are located in the North-West and East coasts of England, services may be provided elsewhere. Ensuring safe and contractual compliance is paramount.

Organizational Context

You will serve as the focal point for project delivery, responsible for planning and executing daily activities to meet service agreements. This client-facing role involves regular communication with RES clients and external contractors, collaborating closely with Offshore, UK&I O&M teams, and other departments including HSE, Technical, and Engineering.

Accountabilities

Support the Offshore team in delivering operation and maintenance services, including:

  • Managing scheduled onshore and offshore work (planning and execution)
  • Preparing budgets, contract variations, tracking expenses, and invoicing
  • Producing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements
  • Creating reports for clients
  • Procurement of third-party services, tools, and equipment
  • Leading or participating in onsite work, including:
  • Inspection and planned maintenance of assets
  • Reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems

Skills and competencies required include project management of offshore activities, team leadership, and fault-finding within data logging and communication systems. The role may require participation in an emergency call-out rota outside normal hours.

The role also involves supporting procedural and technical document development, proposal and cost input, and management of tools, equipment, and PPE within the department.
