Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying for this post.You must have a recognised qualification in the building construction field, with a minimum of a City and Guilds (or equivalent)You will be an experienced construction professional and have proven leadership skills with a track record of success in construction quality control within a local authority or public sector environment. You will be focused on the provision of monitoring construction quality on The council major projects.You must have significant post-qualification experience in a relevant role, experience of supervising large new build, Infrastructure and refurbishment construction project under different contracts including NEC contract and the Hub partnership process will be advantageous.You must have good communication skills both oral and written, the ability to deal sympathetically but firmly with all stakeholders, be firm but fair with contractors and be able to interpret drawings, specification, and bills of quantities.A sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical works, processes, trades and techniques is essential.A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post.
