You will contribute to the successful delivery of Council and service priorities**Duties / What you will do:**This is a developmental role and is an ideal next step in your career where you will be given training and support to help achieve full membership of a relevant professional institute and progress to be being a qualified SeniorBuilding Standards Surveyor.1. Provide advice to both enable and participate in the carrying out of the day-to-day tasks and decisions of the Building Standards and Public Safety function in a proficient and effective manner in line with relevant legislation while ensuring that the safety of the general public is held paramount at all times.2. Participate in the training and development of staff where appropriate.3. Provide key reports and represent the service with presentation of any necessary material and, where required, present and assist in the running of any seminars or exhibitions on relevant subjects.4. Provide an emergency call-out service outside normal working hours in relation to dangerous buildings where required.5.
