Caledonia Recruitment are recruiting an Ocean Import/Export Operator for our Freight Forwarding client based in Hillington. The ideal candidate will be fully conversant in all aspects of Import and Export operations and have a strong customs knowledge, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to offer top‑class customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and manage the shipment of goods via import and export freight
- Book Ocean Import and export from start to finish
- Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
- Job invoicing and costing
- Prepare, track, and manage all documentation related to freight shipments, customs declarations and invoices
- Prepare and submit customs clearances
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations
- Maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimise freight processes and improve service delivery
- A minimum of 1 year experience with a UK freight forwarder in ocean import and export freight
- Ability to problem‑solve and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, working to tight deadlines
