Job description

Field Service Engineer UK – Lantech

The role offers independence, variety and work at multiple locations across the UK (and some sites in Europe). You’ll maintain our packaging machines in logistics centers or solve malfunctions at food‑industry customers. A dynamic schedule and pay “almost every weekend” are part of the package.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance and service of all Lantech machines. You’ll work independently from home, travel to customer sites, operate as the first point of contact, and gradually develop skills in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and control technology while learning our box‑tray handling machines, stretch film wrappers and more.

Qualifications

• A completed MBO education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
• Several years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.
• Extensive knowledge of control technology, frequency converters, servo drives and/or pneumatics.
• Good communication skills.
• A flexible, customer‑oriented attitude.
• Willingness to provide long‑term on‑call consignment services (telephone support approximately once every eight weeks).
• Good command of the English language.
