Job summary
A leading homebuilding company in the United Kingdom is seeking a Civil/Building Engineer at entry level. You will coordinate external design consultants and ensure compliance with building regulations while managing technical drawings. Ideal candidates will be qualified in a relevant field and demonstrate problem-solving skills, communication proficiency, and IT competency in AutoCAD/Revit. - Qualified as a Civil / Building Engineer or a construction-related degree holder, or have attained HNC/HND with relevant experience.
- Good technical knowledge of house and apartment construction.
- Working knowledge of Building Regulations and related legislation.

- Capacity to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Obtain technical drawings and approvals for efficient site starts.
- Minimise risk through timely, high‑quality information.
- Manage and drive external consultants for production information.
- Assist in preparing Design Programmes and present at meetings.
- Ensure all statutory enquiries and legal agreements are pursued.
- Oversee NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval.
- Ensure working drawings comply with Planning Scheme.
- Monitor and control the Professional Fees budget.
- Oversee preparation and approval of plans and drawings.
- Attend site progress meetings and conduct inspections.
- Location liaison and coordination between parties.
- Attend subcontractor interviews and resolve site queries.
- Issue drawings for construction purposes.
