The Gallery Coordinator - Audiences is an integral part of the team at Southwark Park Galleries supporting the Deputy Director, Gallery Manager and Public Engagement Manager with the management of the gallery and delivery of our marketing and communications strategy.

The role works closely with the Gallery Coordinator - Programmes, who focuses on exhibitions and events, and collaborates on many responsibilities concerning reception, administration and supervision of Gallery Assistants.

Contract Type: Part-time, 4 days per week, 9 months fixed term starting April 2026

Working Hours: 32 hours, Wed-Fri 9am-5.30pm + Sat or Sun 11am-5.30pm during Exhibitions / Wed-Fri 9am-5pm + 1 additional day between exhibitions, with some evening work with TOIL

Essential

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills including editing and proofreading, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience of web and digital content and social media platforms.
• Good administrative and technical skills including with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise within a busy working environment.
• Interest in contemporary art and interdisciplinary programming.
• An engaged positive attitude in the activity of Southwark Park Galleries.
• High levels of professionalism and customer care skills.
• Ability to work proactively and with initiative, to meet deadlines.
• An organised and reliable team player, with desire to learn from and to enjoy working as part of a small, committed team.
