Job summary
A recruitment agency is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join an innovative aluminium die-casting business in Doncaster. The role involves assisting in the modification or construction of tooling, CNC machining, and maintaining the Kanban system. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in toolmaking and the ability to accurately read technical drawings. This is a full-time position, with flexible shifts from 6 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications
- Strong background in toolmaking including CNC machining and bench fitting.
- Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on tooling.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the modification or construction of tooling, jigs, and attachments.
- Manufacture new tooling according to issued drawings.
- Test tooling prior to release.
- PPM on existing tooling.
- Read drawings and propose possible improvements.
- Maintain the Kanban system and ensure stock of supplies.
- Oversee the CNC shift and provide assistance where needed.
