Technical Department Manager Mechatronics
Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Department Manager to lead our Mechatronics team in Best NL. As a key member of the global Positioning leadership team within Image Guided Therapy Systems, you will drive the development of the Mechatronics platform, focusing on safe motion control, drivetrains, and electronics.

Your Role

  1. Strategic & Resource Planning: Contribute to budget and resource planning, influencing mechatronics development methods and product roadmaps.
  2. Leadership & Talent Development: Attract, retain, and develop top talent, fostering a high-performing mechatronics and electronics team.
  3. Delivery & Execution: Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality designs within an Agile/SAFe framework.
  4. Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and medical regulatory requirements, with thorough documentation.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other R&D teams and key functions, including marketing, PMO, quality, regulatory, and service.
  6. Workplace Culture & Innovation: Foster an engaging, innovative, and inspiring work environment focused on continuous improvement.

You’re the Right Fit If You Have:

  • A Master’s degree in Mechanics, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in technical management.
  • A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in mechatronics systems.
  • Proven experience building and leading high-performance R&D teams.
  • Experience driving agile development, preferably using SAFe.
  • A commitment to delivering safe and effective healthcare solutions.


How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively performed outside of the main facilities, typically at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
