Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.**The Opportunity:** As a **Quality Technician** within Pre-Delivery Inspection**,** you will support as we seek to maintain and improve the quality of machines leaving the Desford facility. **What You Will Do:** **As Quality Technician, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:** * Conduct audits on parts, partially or fully built machines to a takt time following inspection standard work.* Record defect information in detail via electronic, manual processes or visual boards.* Clearly communicate defects to other areas and support area personnel as issues arise.* Participate in defect investigations and projects as required.* Support and train new team members. **The panel cannot make assumptions when shortlisting therefore please demonstrate your qualifications and experience on your CV relevant to the criteria outlined.** **What you can demonstrate:** * Demonstrated experience in auditing processes and Built-in Quality procedures, including defect reporting and root cause analysis.* Understanding of assembly operations practices and processes.* Ability to work closely with others to achieve team goals, with excellent communication skills.* Self-driven with flexibility to adapt to both independent and team environments, willing to support extra hours if required.* Highly organised with keen attention to detail and a desire to enhance the build quality of our machines. **What you may have:** * Previous PDI experience. **Pending the number of applications, the criteria for the position may be enhanced to facilitate shortlisting.** **Job Title:** Quality Technician**Salary:** £28,900 progressing through to end on £30,450 once role triggers are met**Location:** Desford, Leicestershire **Contract:** Full time**Benefits**: 27 days annual leave + bank holidays – option to buy additional, Production Bonus, Flexible Buy In Benefits such as Private Medical, Health Care, Dental & Vision scheme and more, Share Scheme (50% Company Matched), Contributory Pension Scheme (Contribution double by Company up to 10%) **Travel**: Not required **What You Will Get** **One Company, Limitless Opportunities**Caterpillar is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
