Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a General Manager to join our team in Bristol, supporting our customer Sainsbury’s. As a General Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership and management for the fast-paced site in Bristol while continuing to develop added value to customer propositions in order to strengthen organisational dependencies and partnerships.

This is a full time, permanent position and even though contracted Monday to Friday, 08:00 till 16:00, this is a 24/7 operation, and you’ll need to offer a level of flexibility in terms of working hours – no two weeks are the same, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £100,00.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). • Manage the sites leadership teams achieving operational delivery performance and adherence to all company and customer/site KPI’s
• Liaise and build rapport with the customer to allow for collaborative working and the defining of shared goals and objectives
• Lead the change management on site, with a focus on CI, health and safety
• Maintain effective and open communication links positively encouraging teamwork

• Significant experience in fast moving logistics environment, previous grocery experience would be ideal!
• Strong financial acumen - you’ll be accountable for a multi-million-pound budget
• Ability to coach and develop senior managers along with experience of managing trade union relationships
• Experience in a customer-facing role, with exposure to project management, driving change and implementing a CI culture
